A look at our company history

In the year 2001 the company „VKK STANDARDKESSEL Köthen GmbH“ from the merger of the two boiler companies „Standardkessel Lentjes-Fasel GmbH“ from Duisburg with the Köthenhe company „Vorwärmer und Kesselbau Köthen (VKK) GmbH“. Both boiler manufacturers have a long tradition - Köthen boilers have been around since 1865 and in Duisburg since 1925 Boiler built.

During a brief episode (2017 - 2019), boilers were sold under the name „VELDE Boilers and Plants GmbH“ sold. In 2019, this renaming was reversed and from then on, in addition to „VKK STANDARDKESSEL Köthen GmbH“, there was also „VKK STANDARDKESSEL Service Köthen GmbH“, which exclusively offered and still offers boiler-related services. Since 2024, both companies have been part of the Babcock Wanson Group.

To the 31.12.2025 the companies „VKK STANDARD BOILER Service Köthen GmbH“ and „VKK STANDARD BOILER Verwaltung Köthen GmbH“ and „VKK STANDARDKESSEL Köthen GmbH“ as universal successor „VKK STANDARDKESSEL Köthen GmbH“ merged. Boiler construction and boiler service are once again available from a single source.
